The Ibsen museum

The Ibsen Museum in Grimstad is the country's oldest of its kind, and opened as early as 1916 – ten years after Ibsen passed away.

It is located in Ibsenhuset where Henrik Ibsen worked as an apothecary's assistant, and where he wrote his very first play Catilina.

A warm welcome to all our visitors!
